Get To Know Xavier

Xavier Ramirez is a San Antonio native whose work has shined throughout the city of Houston. He has most recently performed in the Classic Theatre Company’s Shakespeare Outreach Production of Romeo and Juliet, Stupid Fucking Bird at the University of Houston, and in the short film Ghostlight, directed by Michael Grossman. Xavier is a recent graduate from the UH’s BFA Acting Program and also a proud Latino that has enjoyed working with TEATRX, acting in Three Triple Six Oh Four. When not onstage, Xavier uses his vast knowledge of stage combat to create safe performance environments for actors.

"Xavier Ramirez is a consummate pro. In two productions in which I directed him, Xavier did the work in the rehearsal room, prepared diligently for rehearsals, and always brought his A Game in performance. Beyond that, he is a leader of people and transformed a cast into an ensemble. Always helpful and upbeat, Xavier will contribute mightily to the American theatre in the course of his career."
Jack Reuler, Founder and Emeritus Artistic Director of Mixed Blood Theatre
"I have enjoyed watching Xavier grow as an actor and theatre practitioner; from capturing the world of the play by embodying the stage directions to captivating an audience through his portrayal of a son struggling to stay connected with his incarcerated father to building a spaceship that took our young audiences to the moon. Xavier is a constant professional always giving everything he has to any role or project entrusted to him. As a theatre producer, it is my goal to surround myself with good, hardworking, talented people; Xavier exemplifies all three.
Benito Vasquez, Artistic Director of TEATRX
