SCHOOL OF THEATRE & DANCE IN COLLABORATION WITH VALENTI SCHOOL OF COMMUNICATIONS

FILM SCREENINGS

Time to Develop A PICTURE IS WORTH A THOUSAND LIES

Thursday, September 10 | 7PM | Wortham Theatre

The sixth collaboration between the Valenti School of Communication, the School of Theater and Dance and Director Michael Grossman.

Amy comes home from a weekend away to find the aftermath of a party she never wanted—and an instant camera no one seems to remember. When a photograph develops showing a young woman who may be dead, Amy starts asking questions. Her boyfriend says nothing happened. Her friends remember almost nothing. And every new image recovered from the damaged camera tells a different story.

As the photographs slowly develop, so does a mystery of jealousy, betrayal, and violence—where everyone has something to hide, and the truth may be more dangerous than the lies.

Ghost Light

Thursday, September 10 | 7PM | Wortham Theatre

The fifth collaboration between the Valenti School of Communication, the School of Theater and Dance and Director Michael Grossman.

There’s an old theater tradition: when everyone leaves, a single light remains burning on the stage. Some say it’s for safety. Others say it’s so the spirits of the theater are never left in the dark.

When Scout begins spending time at the theater, she meets Nikolai, a mysterious young dancer who seems strangely at home among its shadows. As their unexpected connection deepens, Scout finds herself drawn into a romance that feels both impossible and somehow timeless. But old theaters hold more than memories—and sometimes the past isn’t quite ready to let go.
