Jennifer Bowman is a strategic leader, founder, and connector working across the nonprofit, arts and culture, and social impact sectors. She is the Founder and Principal Consultant of JMB Creative Strategies, where she partners with organizations and leaders to bring structure, clarity, and momentum to purpose-driven work, translating ideas into actionable, sustainable programs and solutions.
With nearly two decades of experience spanning performing arts, educational, and civic institutions, Bowman is known for aligning people, partnerships, and resources to move complex initiatives forward. Her work bridges vision and execution, with strategies grounded in community and designed for real-world implementation.
Through both her independent practice and institutional leadership roles, Bowman has built a track record of designing and advancing initiatives that connect mission to action. She has worked with organizations including Houston Grand Opera, the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, the Folger Shakespeare Library, and the Music Academy of the West, partnering with executives, funders, artists, and community leaders to deliver work that is both impactful and sustainable.
She is a sought-after speaker and facilitator, with invitations from organizations including the University of Houston, American University, OPERA America, the Sphinx Organization, Washington National Opera, Early Music America, and schools and community organizations across the country.
The Houston, Texas, native holds degrees from Dartmouth College and the Peabody Institute at Johns Hopkins University and is a graduate of the Sphinx Organization’s LEAD program for executive leaders in the arts.
