Danny Laverde is a commanding and grounded bilingual Colombian actor raised in New York and based in Texas. As a U.S. Navy veteran of ten years, he brings authentic authority, discipline, and emotional depth to roles that demand leadership, resilience, and intelligence. Danny holds a B.F.A. in Acting with a minor in Media Production from the University of Houston, where he developed a strong classical foundation. His theatre work includes Romeo & Juliet, Twelfth Night, and the site-specific production, Safe at Home. His on-camera work includes appearing alongside Alicia Keys in the music video "Underdog." His training includes military combat, weapons and armory handling, and certifications for stage combat in knife, unarmed, and single sword. His peers describe him as someone with thoughtful intensity balanced with warmth and humor. He lives in Houston with his wife, two children-with a third on the way—and two energetic huskies who keep life adventurous offstage.

““I cast Danny Laverde in two shows at the University of Houston. As a director, I asked
a lot of him as an actor. He rose to the occasion beautifully, building acting muscles never before used, developing technique & style to add to his toolbox, & exposing him to site-specific work. His innate talent was complemented by his willingness & ability to embody an identity-conscious character, perfecting dialect & physicality that created a three-dimensional human with a range of emotions, expressed internally & externally. Danny brings his own lived experience together with his trained skills seamlessly.”
Jack Reuler—Founder of Mixed Blood Theatre
“Danny is the total package. A talented committed actor with a depth of understanding
in production & confident demeanor makes him invaluable. He is grounded, mature & slides into any role like he has been doing it for decades. Daniel defines the term full commitment in filmmaking, & that kind of dedication has & will continue to set him apart going forward. I would welcome Danny on any set with me either in front or behind the camera because he will selflessly give everything he has & that is the kind of person I want standing next to me on set."
