Abel is the recipient of the prestigious Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Nicholl Fellowship for his war drama screenplay THE TIGER’S CHILD, which he co-wrote with his brother.
He produced the feature thriller WHAT LIES BELOW, starring Ema Horvath and Mena Suvari. The film debuted at #1 on Netflix. Abel also adapted a horror-fantasy novel into a live-action feature for Disney and reimagined Frankenstein as a modern-day television series for Universal Television. In gaming, he collaborated with Ubisoft on the narrative for an upcoming first-person shooter
title. His latest feature, THEY LIVE IN THE GREY, starring Michelle Krusiec and Ken Kirby, is currently streaming on Shudder and AMC+. Abel is also in post-production on his newest
feature film, INHERIT. Abel holds an MFA in Cinema & Television Production from University of Southern California
and a BS in Biology from California State University, Fresno.
