Sunday in the District is a vibrant day of creativity and culture throughout the University of Houston Arts District. Hosted by the Kathrine G. McGovern College of the Arts, the afternoon will feature Open Studios, a Student Art Sale, Moores School of Music student performances, Ballet Folklórico performances by students of the UH Dance Department, tours of the Blaffer Art Museum featuring the 2024 Texas Biennial, and family activities presented by the School of Theatre & Dance and Public Art of the University of Houston System.

The Arts District at the University of Houston is a vibrant cultural hub for the city of Houston, home to the Kathrine G. McGovern College of the Arts and the full range of the visual and performing arts. EVERYBODY by Branden Jacobs Jenkins Guest Director: José Zayas Overview: Everybody is a modern comic adaptation of the 15th Century morality play Everyman and one of the first recorded plays in the English language. This modern adaptation sees Everybody visited by God and Death, as well as Friendship, Kinship, all their Stuff, and a few surprising others as they prepare for a journey into the hereafter. It questions the meaning of life, death, and everything in between. |
